Fishing Nets, Zuiderzee Museum

The Zuiderzee Museum in Enkhuizen shows how the Dutch lived and fished in the late 1800's and early 1900s. At that time, the Zuiderzee was open to the North Sea. In the 1900s, a dam was constructed, making it into a lake, known now as the IJsselmeer.
