Winter in New England — clearing the driveway.
A Lexington, Massachusetts quarry, before the leaves dropped off the trees. Some like to swim here on hot summer days, but it’s a generally thought to be a bad idea.
The American Revolution began here, on the Lexington Battle Green, on April 19, 1775. This date is celebrated as Patriots’ Day each year in Massachusetts, as well as Maine. In the background of this photo is the First Parish Church.
